  3.     I am outraged by your cover (June 12) showing a human body
  4. in a pool of blood in China. This followed the bloody picture
  5. of the stormy aftermath of the elections in Panama (May 22).
  6. Must you use such images to sell magazines?

  10.     Photographs may reveal fact and truth, but I must remind
  11. you that children see the covers of newsmagazines. I'm afraid
  12. to look at TIME's next cover if the brutal chaos continues.

  16.     Even after hours of television broadcasts of events in
  17. Beijing, including the massacre of students, your June 12 cover
  18. grabbed my emotions and pulled out a response of anguish I had
  19. not felt before. If others experienced similar revulsion at the
  20. slaughter of the best and brightest of China's youth, your
  21. selection -- however shocking -- was appropriate.
